7. Match Score & Candidate Profiles New

What is Match Score?

Match Score is a percentage next to each applicant that estimates how closely the teacher's profile fits your job post. It is meant to help you review applicants faster.

How is Match Score determined?

The teacher's profile is compared with your job post on eight factors, some weighing more than others (subject, location, native-English-speaker requirement, TEFL/TESOL, grade level, salary, experience and start date). Click the percentage next to an applicant to see how each factor contributed.

The more complete and specific your job post is, the more accurate the comparison.

Should I rely on Match Score alone?

No. Use it as a starting point. It only compares information in the profile with your post, and it can miss details written in unusual wording. Always review the full profile, documents and interview before deciding.

Where can I learn more about the scoring criteria?

The Match Score Guide lists every factor, how much it matters and how it is scored.
